Statsbot can automatically send reports to you in Slack on a daily, weekly or
recurring (e.g. every hour)
basis.

There are two ways you can set up scheduled reports - in Slack and in Statsbot dashboard.

💡 Scheduling report in Slack

Simply type using the following pattern in the channel where Statsbot was previously invited.

@statsbot schedule <metric or report name>

Let's pretend we want to schedule bounce rate for our website.
So, in our case this would look the following way.

Statsbot will reply you back asking to choose for which period of time I want to track bounce rate in my reports.

I want to track my bounce rate for the last 7 days.

Now I only need to choose how often I want these reports to be delivered and at what time.

That's it and we are all set for scheduling our bounce rate in Slack.

💡 Scheduling report in Statsbot dashboard.

Go to your dashboard.  In "Scheduled Reports" section press on "Create New Report" or "Add Report" button.

On the next page you will be prompted to add scheduled report for a few general metrics such as Summary, Channels and Behavior.

If you want to schedule any of those metrics:

  1. Choose a data source from those that you already have connected
  2. Choose a period you want to be included in a report
  3. Choose frequency and time for report delivery
  4. Select channel you want reports to be delivered to by Statsbot
  5. Press 'Add' button next to a report you need
  6. Press 'Save' button

You are also able to see how your reports will look like when delivered in Slack by Statsbot.

Now, let's take a look on how we can schedule report for specific metric such as bounce rate for example.

  1. Press on 'Metric' tab
  2. Choose a data source from those that you already have connected
  3. Choose a metric
  4. Choose a period you want to be included in a report
  5. Choose frequency and time for report delivery
  6. Select channel you want reports to be delivered to by Statsbot
  7. Press on 'Save' button

You have also probably noticed that we generate report with the real data and display it immediately, so you can see how it will look like when delivered by Statsbot in Slack.

It is also super easy to use dimensions and segments by simply choosing relevant one from drop down menu. Take a look on the image below and you will see that report has been changed and it is now chart pie instead of graph.

We are all set!
This is pretty much all about how you can use "Scheduled reports" feature.

If you haven't yet added any reports, go ahead and create one!
